Our handmade soaps are just a joy to use and are safe
for everyday use. They don't contain any harmful chemicals or detergents
like commercial bar soaps do. They are made from glycerin which is an
emollient and humectant, thereby softening and moisturizing to your skin. They come in
several different kinds. The
bar soaps are all made from glycerin soap bases and can be
used as a soap, shampoo or to shave with. The
herbal loofah soaps are all made with a clear glycerin soap base so you can see
the wonderful loofah embedded in the soap. Colorants are never used. All our soaps are the color they are naturally
from the herbs or ingredients they are made from.
The Healing Plantain Milk Soap comes in a 4 oz. bar and can be used everyday
to soften, soothe and heal your skin. Try it as a shampoo or to shave
with, it works great. Available in unscented only but it smells wonderful from
the natural Plantain scent. Plantain which is also known as the "Band-aid
Plant" is a wonderful healing plant. With mild antimicrobial and skin
regenerative properties you can use it on all your boo-boo's. Plantain is
safe to use on children and babies.

The Healing Plantain Loofah Soap comes in a round approximately 3.5 oz bar.
It can be used everyday to exfoliate and cleanse your skin while healing you
with the wonderful properties of Plantain.
Ingredients: Clear glycerin soap, Plantain glycerin,
water and Loofah.
The Itch & Boo Boo Soap is made from Jewelweed and comes in a 4 oz. bar. This
soap is wonderful for stopping poison ivy, oak or sumac dead in it's tracks.
Will work best when used in conjunction with our Itch & Boo Boo Salve. Wash affected area thoroughly before using
salve. Available in unscented only but it smells wonderful from
the natural Jewelweed scent. For severe rashes you can cake the soap on and let
it dry for faster relief & healing.
Ingredients: White glycerin soap, Jewelweed glycerin
and water.
Patchouli & Hemp Oil Soap comes in a 4 oz. bar and smells wonderful. Patchouli
promotes cell rejuvenation as well as skin tightening. Hemp Oil helps revive,
repair & rejuvenate the skin & cells. This can also be used to shampoo or shave
with.
Ingredients: Hemp Oil glycerin soap and Patchouli
glycerin.
The
Relaxing Lavender Mint Milk Soap comes in a 4 oz. bar and can be used to relax,
de-stress and soothe yourself everyday. Can also be used to shampoo or
shave with. Available in unscented only but
you can lightly smell the scent of the lavender and mint. No coloring added.
Some of the properties of lavender are: antibacterial, antidepressant,
anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-rheumatic, antispasmodic, antitoxic,
antiviral, anticoagulant, deodorant, decongestant, nervine, restorative,
sedative, tonic and vulnerary. It is also an astringent as well as
moisturizing to skin. It alleviates aches, pains, and swelling from arthritis to
injury to headache. Lavender is ideal for physical and emotional support.
Emotionally, lavender helps support a calm composure and self-expression. It
reduces irritability, insomnia, apprehension, stress, nervous tension and is
generally balancing to the psyche, as well as the body. Studies have shown that
mint can inhibit bacteria and viruses. Mint is a soothing stimulative, stomachic, diaphoretic and antispasmodic. Mint is
also a general
pick-me-up, good for colds, flu and fevers. It can also help rheumatism.

Guest size soaps are 2 oz. soaps in various varieties. I usually make these when
I have leftover soap from a fresh pour. Because I never know which ones I will
have, you can only buy the guest size soaps in person or place a custom order.
Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Face bars also come in a 2 oz. size. The smell just
reminds me of Grandma's old fashioned oatmeal cooking on the stove, just
delicious. The top half is made of an oatmeal & milk mix, while the bottom half
is made from honey soap with a sprinkling of rolled oats added.
Ingredients: White glycerin soap, ground rolled oats, powdered milk, water,
honey glycerin soap & rolled oats.
Our Teddy Bear Scrubber is also a unique Mountain Lore invention. The Teddy
Scrubber is made from Ramie & filled with soap. Kids love it!
